It is important to drive the digital transformation at one's own pace. To support this requirement, IngeniBridge is able to run several versions of the functional contextualization database.
This way, it is so possible to deploy a functional version of the IngeniBridge database (Data Model + Contents) and plug an IT application to it to address a first business use-case.
When this first deployment is being tested, the transformation engages with a new iteration. The Data Model can be modified to include new entity (asset, time series or nomenclature) types and more contents. A new application IT application is plugged to this new version addressing the next business use-case.
The multi database feature of IngeniBridge lets you operate your digital transformation smoothly in that the iterations can overlap as long as it is needed.
Of course, the previous iterations must be upgraded to the latest version of the database. In this regards, IngeniBridge offers more support to your digital transformation (read next).
When several databases are mounted, it is possible to run a report against two databases to get the full set of differences.
Please note that these differences include both contents and data model (or data structuration).
The report is produced as an excel sheet. This way, the non regression report can be produced and analyzed by the business people (no IT expertise is needed for that). So at the end of the business analysis, the decision can be taken to validate the new version of the database and continue the iteration of the digital transformation.
In a DEV environment where the digital transformation is operated with overlapping, several applications make requests against the IngeniBridge server.
The IT project managers have the possibility to view all the requests made by the application under their responsability. More, the IT project managers can produce the same non regression report but only concerning the requests consumed by their application.
This way, the IT project manager is able to take decision concerning how the application will upgrade to the new iteration of the digital transformation.
With all these features, the digital transformation can be operated in an agile way. There is no need to wait for functional contextualization to be in target version to begin to deliver business use-cases.
